A Quote From A Reader!

There’s nothing better than receiving random compliments about your written work when you’re a writer! Just last week, I received this lovely compliment from a friend on Instagram about my new short story collection, Abstract Clarity:

“I was going to read it in the car on our weekend trip but there was just too much stuff going on in the car so last night after I got everything done and the house was quiet I started reading your book! I was so tired but I kept saying to myself “just one more page – just one more page” and as I was reading I got a little scared…I mean because I was being sucked into the story! (It was a good thing) So – tonight I’m going to continue reading after the house is quiet! Thanks for such a great read! You are a talented writer” – new_writer_on_the_block

Special thanks goes out to everyone who supports my writing! If you’re interested in purchasing a copy of my short story collection, Abstract Clarity, or my novel, Rest in Piece, please feel free to visit my Amazon Author Page.

About the Stories – Historical Hell

Hi everyone! I thought I would take part of this week to talk about each of the stories included in my new short story collection, Abstract Clarity! Let’s begin with the first story –  Historical Hell!

Historical Hell is my favorite short story in the collection. I love them all, but Historical Hell was extremely enjoyable and interesting to write. I’ve always thought it would be cool to write a story about the possibility of someone escaping Hell, and in a way I think is very fresh, I created a story that explores the topic.

I’ve often found the whole concept of Heaven and Hell interesting and how, we don’t really know what either is like. We can only speculate and come to our own conclusions about the place where some of us believe we go after death. In Historical Hell, I decided to explore a different idea of Hell than the usual contenders.

Another thing I really like about Historical Hell is the inclusion of time travel. I’m not going to go into my love of the concept (you’ll have to read more about it in my description of the story in the book itself), but I will say that writing about a time that I wasn’t a part of was both fun and challenging!

Historical Hell is about God’s punishment for sinners failing for the first time. When this happens, it causes a ripple effect that is far from pleasant. God chooses someone He knows He can trust to make things right again.

An Exciting Reminder!

Hey everybody! This is just a reminder that in addition to my book, Rest in Piece, currently being available for purchase on Amazon.com, I am also working on a short story collection! I’m very excited for this project and have only one more story to complete. Then I will begin the editing process and hopefully soon after that, the book will be available for purchase!

The short stories will be a mixture of both fantasy and horror – two genres that I really enjoy writing and reading. While Rest in Piece leaned more towards young adult (though adults can certainly enjoy it as well), these stories are more appropriate for a slightly older audience.

I’d like to thank all those who have supported my writing and continue to do so! This is a very exciting time for me and I can’t wait to share this new collection with you once it’s finished! Please look for more updates as the weeks pass!

Also, don’t forget that if you’ve purchased my book, Rest in Piece, or will receive a copy (either the e-book or paperback) by April 28th, you can submit a photo of your copy displayed creatively to the Rest in Piece Photo Contest that I’m throwing! If you don’t feel comfortable being in the picture, that’s fine, you just have to display the book creatively for a chance to win! I wish all the participants the best of luck!

Thank You,

B.W. Ginsburg
